Moving Day

 March 20 was packing day!  Brandon took the day off and drove home the night before so we would have all day on Thursday to pack.  And we certainly did need all day!  We went and picked up the biggest Uhaul they had.  As the boys and I watched Brandon back it into our drive way Paxton said, "O.... MY..... GOODNESS! That is what I am talking about!"  He really liked the truck.  Actually both boys really liked the truck, and could have spent hours running around in it while it was empty!

 {When did my sweet baby Colton start looking so old???}

Later in the afternoon, we played outside one last time with the boys' {and my} friends.  We tried to get some pictures of everyone, but its pretty hard to get 2 toddlers to cooperate.....

...let alone 4 other kids with the 2 toddlers!

At about 4 in the afternoon,  I finally had Brandon convinced that we were not going to be able to fit all of our stuff in the biggest Uhaul.  I don't know how we have accumulated so much, but we ended up having to rent a trailer to hook on to the Uhaul.  Empty Uhauls are apparently the best toy ever if you are under 5.  We had a hard time keeping the kids out of them long enough to pack them!

Definitely the hardest/saddest part of the move was saying goodbye to our dear friends!  I was only able to see a couple of them right before we left, but we will miss them all!

After a long day of packing, we finally went to bed so we could get up bright and early to head to Pocatello and our new home.  We had a few more things to pack in the morning, and we were definitely filled up to the brim! Both the Uhaul and the trailer looked just like this!

And here is the very last picture we took of our house!

When we moved to Middleton 4 1/2 years ago I never would have imagined how much we would love it.  I will always remember the excitement of going to Nampa for Brandon to interview with Amalgamated Sugar.  We were so hopeful and had no idea what the future would hold for us.  He obviously got the job, and we lived in Nampa for about 6 months while we had our house built. We were so excited to have our beautiful house and start our life in Middleton. I don't think we could have been more excited even if we did know the wonderful things that would happen while we were there.  We had our two sweet babies, met so many wonderful neighbors and friends, were a part of a wonderful ward, and grew so much as a couple while we were there.  Here we are the day we got the keys to our home.

We are so excited and happy to be back in Pocatello and surrounded by family, but Middleton and the people we met there {and the smelly sugar beet factory that brought us there} will always have a very special place in our hearts.
