Updating

 When we moved into our house, we knew that we would basically be doing a ton of updating in every room.  Slowly but surely we are starting to make a dent in our long to-do list.   

The first thing to go was the microwave.  Brandon and my dad had that out of the house before they even brought anything into the house.  So I guess you could say it was a little gross, and totally unsuitable to eat food out of.  Since it was out of the house before I even had my camera unpacked, you only get to see a picture of the new microwave we put in.

 In sticking with the kitchen, we also decided that we should replace the dishwasher.  I didn't take a picture of it specifically, so this is a cropped out picture so you can see what it looked like.

We weren't really planning on replacing our double ovens just yet, since they worked pretty good, but then we found an amazing deal for 50% off and decided now was the best time to get them!

Our house does have newer carpet in most of the upstairs rooms, but we had one bedroom that had some very old, quite nasty carpet {like I wouldn't let the boys walk in there without their shoes on}.  It actually doesn't look too bad in this picture though!

So we pulled up the carpet and found a beautiful wood floor!  Now we will still need to refinish it, but we think its a huge improvement!

The front of the house was being overtaken by some huge bush tree things, so Brandon got to get another toy... a chainsaw... so we could get rid of them! {He was so excited to use his chainsaw that he just couldn't wait for me to take a before picture....so I got a just started picture.}

These are just a few of the many projects we have been working on, and there are so many more that we will be doing.  The house already looks so much better, I can hardly wait until we have more done!
