Three Years Old

At three years old, Colton is probably our funniest kid.  He is constantly doing and saying hilarious things.  He often tells me {and Brandon} "Best Mommy {Daddy} ever!", especially right after he gets in trouble.  He loves playing and wrestling and our dog Lucy.  He is also quite taken with a cute girl in our ward named Ruby, and he will do anything if I say we can play with Ruby. 

He is still basically a terrible sleeper, although since his actual birthday he has slept through the night all but 2 nights!  Brandon and I are afraid to jinx it, but maybe he is finally past waking up all night long every night!  At bedtime he always asks for one of us to sing him "Popcorn Popping", and as we sing it, we can always hear Paxton from the top bunk join in.  Its about the cutest thing ever.

Colton is pretty much attached at the hip to Paxton.  He wants to do everything Paxton is doing, and for the most part they get along great.  Colton did have a hard time when Paxton went to preschool, so we decided to take him out to get doughnuts after we dropped Pax off.  Now, every Tuesday and Thursday that Pax has preschool Colton gets a mischievous look and says, "Let's go to the doughnut store!"  And he is so cute when he does it that we usually agree and end up at the doughnut store {A.K.A. Ridleys}

Colton also loves his baby sister and is pretty good to play with her.  Paxton and Lexington both love Colton right back.  Paxton is actually quite protective of his little brother and sister.  The other night, we went out for ice cream with friends.  Colton's crush Ruby was there, and perhaps Colton was trying to snuggle up, and she ended up pushing him off the chair.  Paxton was telling us later on the ride home that "It made me freakin' mad" that Ruby did that.  It was so funny!

Colton still has a love for anything with a ton of sugar in it.  He told us all he was asking Santa for was candy canes.  Because of his love for all things candy, he has gained the nickname King Candy Colton.  He also responds to Colt the Bolt and Colekin.

Colton is really into superheroes, and his favorites are Captian America and Superman.  He also really likes anything Star Wars, but his favorite is Darth Vader {Even though he has never actually watched any of the movies}  He also really likes cooking food in his play kitchen and fishing with dad.
