One Year Old

While we were looking back on the pictures and video of Colton in the hospital, we couldn't help but notice how much more hair he had a year ago!  Our sweet boy #2 has grown so much in the past year.  He is definitely one of the best babies ever.  He is so laid back and happy with just about anything.  He has been smiley from the very beginning, when we would catch him grinning in his sleep as a brand new baby.  

He is most definitely a mama's boy, and I love it!  He is always happy to see me, and cries when I leave.  He does enjoy rough housing with his dad though, and he always wants to be in the middle of whatever fun Paxton is having.

Colton is a pro at walking now.  Of course, he does take some spills now and then {notice the huge bruise on the forehead}.  His new favorite trick is blowing kisses.  He is a moose when it comes to eating, and will devour anything you set in front of him.  He still loves nursing however, and I'm not sure how to break it to him that its not going to last much longer.

Although he is probably the best baby during the day, he is also quite possibly the very worst sleeper at night.  We have yet to sleep through the night for a whole year.  After this long, I don't know if I could even do it if I had the chance.   We are down to getting up one time, sometimes two, per night.  His doctor assured us {let's be honest, mostly just me} that he is old enough to make it through the night and we can totally just let him cry, but I guess I just can't be that tough with that cute boy.

Colton has received many nicknames, and answers to all of them.  Colt, Culk, Culkin, and yes, still Coco, all created by his big brother Paxton.

Colton is such a joy to have in our family and we don't know what we did without him!
