Our Sweet Boy #1 turned 5 years old this past week! I can hardly believe that we have a 5 year old! For his birthday we told him he could pick anything he wanted for our family to do, and out of nowhere he picked roller skating. We have never taken him, nor have we ever really talked about it, so we were quite surprised when that was what he chose. Brandon had kind of a crazy schedule so we only had one day that we could go, and it turned out that Deleta was not going to be open when we needed it. So we asked Pax what else he would like to do, and he immediately replied, "Go to the beach!"
Luckily he didn't even seem to mind that we weren't going skating. Ever since we took our family pictures on the beach {and by beach we mean our nearby reservoir that has let out so much water that there is now a sandy beach}, both the boys have been wanting to go back and play on the sand.
Paxton was spoiled with more presents than he needs. The boys played in the sand, swam, and climbed the huge mountain {of sand}. We also had a little fire and did hot dogs and marshmallows, had some razor rides, and did a little fishing in the kayaks.
It was a perfect night out on the beach, and we couldn't have asked for better weather {especially in the middle of October!} I think everyone had a great time celebrating our favorite 5 year old!
