Summer Fun - Part 3

I am so sad that summer has come to an end, but I do feel like we made the very most of it!  It seems like every time Brandon had a day off, we had plans for an adventure!

In August we made a little trip to Burley to see Brandon's family and help with some work on their house.  We took a little trip to the mountains nearby while we were there and it was beautiful!  We definitely want to go back sometime and explore a little more!

The boys had their annual backyard campout in August also.  Lexington and I decided that we would sleep inside.  We all had a good time roasting marshmallows, then the boys settled down for a movie in the tent.

They now ask to go camping just about every night, so I think they had fun!

Brandon and I {and Miss Lexington} were able to take a little trip to Boise at the end of August.  We left the boys with Brandon's parents and they had a great time {and some how Brandon's mom was able to finish potty training Colton! Probably the best part of the whole trip!} We were able to meet up with some of our Boise friends and it was so good to see them!  We also did a little shopping, and went to a friend's wedding reception.  Lexington truly is an angel baby, she was just happy to get mom and dad all to herself!  It was fun to have a little time away, but we were sure happy to see our boys when we got back!

Paxton started preschool the first part of September.

He absolutely loves it, and is so excited when it is preschool day!

Paxton also started playing soccer for the first time!  He loves it and says it is his favorite sport.  It is pretty fun {and a little frustrating for this competitive mom} to watch.   And he is so handsome out there playing!

We have also been spending quite a bit of time at the Portneuf Wellness Complex that just opened here in Pocatello.  We play on the playground, walk the trail, swim, and of course fish the pond!  We are so excited to have somewhere so close that we can kayak whenever we feel like it {even though it can't really compete with our beloved Duff Pond in Middleton}.  The boys, especially Colton, LOVE LOVE LOVE catching the fish there, and I am sure we will be spending plenty of time there in the future!
