Last weekend, we were able to go camping with some of our good friends. We had never been camping since we've had kids, so it was a whole new experience! We loaded everything we own up {I thought we took everything we owned to Island Park, I was wrong!} and basically decided that if we are going to continue to camp we will have to get a bigger vehicle or a bigger trailer!
It didn't help that we decided to take the dogs, and Quigley alone takes up half of the back of the jeep! We ended up going to Tripod Reservoir, after we drove all over on the windiest road ever {Paxton got car sick and threw up all over!}. We were very happy with where we stayed though, it was beautiful!
It was the perfect spot to do some fishing, kayaking, and hiking.
I'm pretty sure that these three had the best time ever!
And little Colton is one happy camper {at least during the daytime!}. He did pretty good overall, but I don't think we will be taking a baby who never sleeps more than 2 consecutive hours camping again. The night was rough, but the fun we had during the days totally made up for it!
We had a great time, and we were all completely exhausted by the time we made it home {and for days afterwards!} As soon as we got everything reloaded into the Jeep, and had just started the drive home, Paxton said, "I want to go camping!" I think we can consider it a successful trip!
